Need some professional guidance in your garden and can’t figure out where to find it?

Garden centre personnel can be extremely helpful, but they must rely on you to provide them with accurate and complete information, including such things as existing plants and trees, garden orientation, and size of the area you’re looking at improving.  At the other end of the professional advice spectrum, a landscape architect will create a comprehensive site plan complete with hardscaping recommendations (stonework and structures) and an extensive planting scheme.

If neither of these appears to be exactly the kind of assistance you’re seeking, a professional garden designer could be the answer you’re looking for.

Who I Am

I am a horticulturalist and garden designer with 20 years experience in the horticultural industry, including retail, plant management, design/consultation, and journalism.  I will come to your property and assess the existing conditions and plant material, and spend some time with you discussing your garden goals.  Follow-up visits could include: laying out new garden beds, providing creative ideas about repurposing existing plants and garden accessories, procuring and delivering new plant material, pruning and reshaping existing woody plants, and creating formal garden plans with diagrams, plant recommendations and accompanying written report.

What I Do

Garden design, redesign, consultation
Advice on appropriate plant selection and placement
Custom plant purchase and delivery
Pruning and pruning advice (actual pruning on shrubs and small trees only)
Landscape sketch (to scale)
